Our ancestors lay beneath us, grow tall, and run through our rivers and veins. They are here, just not as they used to be. Our forebears sacrificed their form so to give birth to us all, and one day it will be our turn to stand in their place. This is the price we pay to live, which is that one day we will die too so we may become the earth that feeds the next in line.
