Helios kissed my skin and left rouge along my cheek His lips that blisters my skin left sun spots upon me I didn't care if it burned He was my dawn turned everything to gold I would have let it burn my skin just to feel the warmth his light brings
I knew we were running out of time when the shadows grew That there would be no tomorrow with you I still waited Just in case you changed your mind but I soon realised I had seen my Sun rise for the last time
I thought I could get used to the cold But his rays left a mark on me They stayed These moles didn't fade with the dusk They're etched into my very being Permeated into me They won't leave My Sun is gone, but they're still here A part of him is still here In these sun spots that lay upon me I can't let him go
Maybe if I traced lines in between these sun spots I'll find a hidden star map he left for me a guide to make the stars align to break the fabric of time so I can finally reach the horizon where he’ll be waiting waiting for me and he stays
Why does the night come between you and me I don't want remanence of us to be lost in the dark If you just give me a chance I would let the universe come to an end so we could start over again and I know I would find you in a sky full of stars and maybe this time we can make it work when we meet again
